Job summary

AttainX, Inc. seeks a Software and Database Developer IV to support the DHS/CISA Critical Infrastructure Collaboration Platform. You will independently develop, integrate, and sustain applications while managing complex databases across the full stack.

The role emphasizes cloud-based AWS deployment, API integration, performance tuning, and secure coding. A team leadership edge is possible as you coordinate with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of related software development or database experience.
• Experience delivering software from specs across front-end, back-end, and DB hosting.
• Experience with AWS, API integration, cloud architecture, deployment and sustainment.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis databases and optimization.
• Version control: Git, SVN, Mercurial; stacks: MEAN, Django, LAMP, or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with testing plans and unit/integration/regression/deployment testing.
• Ability to work independently; provide technical guidance or team leadership.
• U.S. citizen; DHS Public Trust eligibility; security/documentation tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop, integrate, and deliver applications across the full tech stack.
• Design, manage, and maintain complex databases and schemas.
• Develop and maintain APIs and cloud-based architecture using AWS.
• Evaluate, optimize, and secure database configurations and queries.
• Perform backups, recovery, and data protection procedures.
• Mentor colleagues; may serve as a team lead coordinating with management and stakeholders.
• Prepare test plans and execute unit, integration, regression, and DB tests.
