Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Associate Software Developer to join the People Assurance team as a remote employee. You will contribute to development, maintenance and enhancement of software applications, delivering high-quality features while collaborating with experienced developers across the full lifecycle.

You will write clean code, participate in automated testing, and engage with the scrum team to meet story commitments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years in related field is a plus.
• Experience with Angular, PHP (Laravel), JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, JSON and web services.
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker and MySQL.
• Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems.
• This is a remote position; applicants must reside in and be able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Produce clean, well-documented, high-quality code using standards and patterns.
• Ensure quality through automated testing, TDD, code reviews and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with scrum team on design, estimates and commitments.
• Document functionality, system architecture and technical specifications.
• Grow the team by staying current with industry trends and completing training.
