Job summary

The American Heart Association is offering a remote internship in the Social Media Marketing team for students pursuing marketing or communications. This role provides hands-on experience promoting campaigns and researching programs across the Eastern States Region, with mentorship and access to Heart U.

As an intern, you will craft and analyze social content for Facebook, X and Instagram, monitor results, source ideas, and learn brand standards while supporting the team's goals in a nonprofit

Qualifications

• Seniors or graduate students in business, marketing, visual communications or related fields.
• Experience with social platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram).
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
• Basic video, graphic design and writing skills; Canva or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with social media monitoring, reporting and analysis.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute social media posts for Facebook, X and Instagram.
• Monitor platform results and provide analysis of findings.
• Source new content ideas and track trends on social media.
• Analyze what other organizations are doing and present findings.
• Learn brand standards and ensure content aligns with organizational goals.
