Job summary

The American Heart Association offers an internship program for students to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing and digital campaigns. You will support the team in crafting posts for Facebook, X, and Instagram and learn how campaigns are promoted across platforms.

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing a business degree in visual communications, communications, social media, or marketing are welcome.
• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, X and Instagram.
• Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social or similar.
• Basic video, graphic design and writing skills. Canva or similar experience preferred.
• Experience with social media monitoring, reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with the digital team to craft and execute social media posts for Facebook, X and Instagram.
• Monitor results of social media content on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.
• Source new content ideas and monitor trends on social platforms.
• Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and brands are doing on social media and present findings to the digital team.
• Learn brand standards and ensure content aligns with the goals and mission of the organization.
