Job summary

Advocate Health is offering a Social Impact & Community Relations Intern position. This remote internship runs May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri during business hours. Remote work is available to residents in AL and several other states.

The role supports program development, stakeholder engagement, event planning, and impact reporting, with mentorship from experienced leaders and exposure to CSR initiatives within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs.
• Support partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and civic organizations.
• Help track and report on social impact metrics and outcomes.
• Contribute to internal and external communications related to select initiatives.
• Conduct research on social issues, community needs, and best practices.
• Assist with grant applications, sponsorship requests, and donation tracking.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives.
• Gain experience in community engagement and CSR strategy.
