Job summary

Empathy is seeking a Social Media Manager on a contract basis to own and grow our social presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and beyond. This role blends brand storytelling with B2B and consumer outreach, requiring strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and a data-driven mindset.

You will work with Growth, Brand Design, Product Marketing, and Communications, stay east-coast hours, and manage 100-150 hours per month.

Qualifications

7+ years managing organic social for a leading brand with consumer and B2B audiences.
Data-driven, results-oriented approach with measurable outcomes.
Excellent writer with clear creative vision, able to guide design.
Fluency in LinkedIn and Instagram; comfortable with additional platforms.

Responsibilities

Own Empathy’s organic social strategy and execution end-to-end on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Build and grow engaged consumer, member, and B2B audiences.
Own copy and creative direction, publish with a consistent cadence with Design.
Translate campaigns and brand moments into social-first stories for each audience.
Drive thought leadership and executive amplification on LinkedIn for B2B buyers.
Set goals, track engagement and growth, and turn data into direction.
Run test-and-learn experiments on hooks, formats, timings, and angles.
Steward brand voice with care given sensitive subjects.
Use AI tools to accelerate ideation and production without compromising quality.
Stay ahead of platform trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Collaborate with Brand Design, Motion Design, and external partners.
