Job summary

Modern Action is seeking a Social Content Creator to grow our audience across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and LinkedIn. The role focuses on creating short-form videos, writing social copy, and testing formats to improve engagement.

You will repurpose existing content and quickly turn current events into compelling posts. You should be comfortable producing Reels, TikToks, and Shorts, with a knack for headlines, pacing, and retention.

• Ability to craft strong hooks and pacing for social content.
• Fast learner with willingness to test ideas and iterate.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to simplify complex topics.

Responsibilities

• Create short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Write hooks, scripts, captions, posts, and social copy.
• Film, edit, or produce short-form video content.
• Help grow Modern Action on multiple channels including X and LinkedIn.
• Turn current events and civic issues into understandable content.
• Repurpose newsletters, blog posts, and campaigns into social content.
• Create simple graphics or carousels when useful.
• Identify trends and content opportunities.
• Suggest and test new content ideas.
• Track performance and optimize based on metrics like views and signups.
• Collaborate with the founder to decide what to test and optimize.
