Job summary

PUNCH Cyber Analytics Group is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst (Remote Position) to join our SOC support for a Federal civilian agency. You will learn from seasoned security professionals to detect, analyze, and mitigate intrusions using traditional and unconventional methods.

The role requires 1–3 years in network security, TCP/IP knowledge, and a proactive mindset to embrace new technologies. Weekend/holiday work is expected; a 4 days/10 hour shift pattern may apply.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of work experience in network security.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing and major Internet protocols.
• Strong desire to learn and experiment with new technologies.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support a Federal civilian agency's Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Learn from an experienced team to detect and analyze intrusions and incidents.
• Assist in mitigating potential security threats and elevating operations.
