Job summary

SilverSky is seeking an entry‑level Security Analyst to join our 24x7 SOC and protect client networks from cyber threats. You will be the first line of defense, monitoring security consoles and escalating incidents as needed.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewall technologies while working with a team that values vigilance and rapid response. Remote work is available for US residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Firewalls, IPS/IDS, AD, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP and SIEM is preferred.
• Basic cyber security knowledge and foundational operational understanding.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a 24x7 SOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IDS, ADS, firewall logs and SIEM to identify threats for remediation.
• Assist in incident response as first line security analyst.
• Communicate alerts to IT, Network or Security teams promptly.
• Assist senior analysts with countermeasures and controls.
• Suggest improvements to operational effectiveness and efficiency.
