SilverSky is seeking an entry-level Security Analyst L1 to join a 24/7 SOC focused on protecting clients from cyber threats. You will monitor IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewall logs, respond to security events, and escalate where needed.

The role emphasizes learning, hands-on experience, and potential for certification in a fast-paced environment. This position is remote for candidates in Guam or Hawaii, requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cyber security concepts and threats.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work 24/7 in a SOC environment.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and SIEM.
• Ability to learn quickly and earn Sec+ within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor IDS/IPS, ADS, firewall logs, and SIEM for threats.
• Assist in cyber incident response as first-line analyst.
• Communicate alerts to IT/Network/Security teams promptly.
• Support implementation of countermeasures and controls.
• Provide recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
