Phoenix Cyber is seeking Cybersecurity Analysts to join our client delivery team. This is a remote position in the United States.

You will monitor network traffic, IDS, and security events, develop SOC SOPs, and support incident response and investigations. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 3 years of security experience, and relevant certifications. Government clearance ability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years’ security experience.
• Experience in incident response.
• Certifications: CompTIA CySA+, Security+, or CISSP.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events and logs; prioritize intrusions.
• Develop, maintain, and follow SOC SOPs.
• Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
• Proactively review large data sets for anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS and SIEM and advise on proactive blocks.
• Create and track security investigations to resolution.
• Compose security alert notifications and other communications.
• Advise incident responders on investigation steps to take.
• Stay up to date with vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
• This position requires the ability to work a shift schedule.
• The ideal candidate will multitask and remain calm under pressure.
