Job summary

BlackSky is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join the Security Operations Center and defend the enterprise from cyber threats. You will monitor events, analyze logs, and develop SIEM-based detections, dashboards and alerts to shorten detection and response times.

You will perform DFIR activities, leverage CTI, and conduct threat hunting across our distributed U.S. offices or fully remote. Strong Linux security background and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in security analysis and DFIR.
• Experience across IT security in multiple environments.
• CISSP, GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GCDA, GCMM or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and perform DFIR activities across environments.
• Analyze logs from network, systems, and cloud services using SIEM.
• Develop detections, dashboards, and alerts to improve response timelines.
• Perform threat hunting and apply CTI insights to defend the enterprise.
• Document procedures and respond to security incidents and findings.
• Support compliance and vulnerability remediation with product owners.
