Job summary

Rail Capital in Utah seeks a Loan Processor to own files from submission to funding, ensuring speed and accuracy. You will collect documents, verify information, clear conditions, and prepare contracts to fund the same day whenever possible.

This hands-on role demands 2–4 years of processing experience with small business loans or merchant cash advances, and a track record of high-volume processing. Strong attention to detail and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to four years processing, closing, or funding small business loans
• Experience at Bluevine, OnDeck, or a comparable online lender preferred
• Comfort reading business bank statements to spot mismatches
• Working knowledge of business entity documents, UCC filings, and KYC checks
• Extreme attention to detail to avoid errors
• Clear, quick communication with brokers and merchants by phone and email
• Organized under volume with multiple open files

Responsibilities

• Intake new submissions from brokers and direct merchants: verify documents and chase missing items
• Package files for underwriting to prevent delays
• Clear conditions to fund: voided checks, ownership proof, IDs, tax returns, payoff letters
• Verify information: bank login, entity standing, ownership match, OFAC checks
• Spot altered statements and fraud signals and elevate before contracts
• Prepare and send contracts for signature and correct errors quickly
• Run the funding call with merchant to confirm terms and payment schedule
• File UCC financing statements and set up payment schedules
• Release funds and send funding confirmations
• Keep system of record current on each file
• Coordinate payoffs and balance letters on renewals
• Collaborate with product/engineering to automate workflow
