Job summary

Rail Capital, based in Utah, is seeking a Loan Processor for Small Business Funding. You will own files from submission to funding, verifying documents, clearing conditions, and coordinating contract execution to fund the same day whenever possible.

This hands-on role emphasizes speed to fund, accuracy, and maintaining a clean file system while collaborating with brokers, merchants, and the underwriting team. Prior high-volume funding experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years processing, closing, or funding small business loans, lines of credit, or merchant cash advances at a lender.
• Experience at Bluevine, OnDeck, or a comparable online small business lender is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable reading business bank statements well enough to spot mismatches.
• Working knowledge of business entity documents, UCC filings, and know your customer checks.
• Extreme attention to detail; a wrong account number or missed signature is a real loss.
• Clear, quick communication with brokers and merchants by phone and email, pushing for documents while staying pleasant.
• Organized under volume and able to manage thirty open files without losing one.

Responsibilities

• Intake new submissions from brokers and direct merchants, verify completeness, and chase missing items.
• Package files for underwriting so the underwriter never waits on a document.
• Clear conditions to fund: voided check, proof of ownership, driver license, and other stipulations.
• Verify bank statements, business entity status, ownership, OFAC, and identity checks.
• Spot altered statements or fraud signals and elevate before contracts go out.
• Prepare and send contracts for signature, and correct errors quickly.
• Run the funding call with the merchant to confirm terms and payment amounts.
• Set up the payment schedule with the servicer; file UCC financing statements.
• Release the wire and confirm receipt; send funding confirmations to brokers.
