Job summary

Rail Capital in Utah is seeking a hands-on Loan Processor to move merchant cash advance files from submission to funding. You will verify documents, clear conditions, prepare contracts, run final checks, and release funds the same day whenever possible.

You will work a high-volume queue, coordinate with brokers and merchants by phone and email, and help shape automation of repeatable steps while maintaining strict accuracy and fast funding timelines.

Qualifications

• Two to four years processing, closing, or funding small business loans, lines of credit, or merchant cash advances at a lender.

Responsibilities

• Intake new submissions from brokers and direct merchants: check the application, bank statements, and identification for completeness and chase what is missing.
• Package files for underwriting so the underwriter never waits on a document.
• Clear conditions to fund: voided check, proof of ownership, driver license, landlord or mortgage verification, tax returns, payoff letters, and any stipulation the underwriter sets.
• Verify what you are given: bank login verification, business entity and good standing checks, ownership match, OFAC screening, and identity checks.
• Spot altered statements, mismatched ownership, and other fraud signals and elevate before contracts go out.
• Prepare and send contracts for signature, review executed documents for errors, and correct them fast.
• Run the funding call with the merchant and confirm terms, payment amount, and payment schedule.
• File UCC financing statements and set up the payment schedule with the servicer or payment processor.
• Release the wire and confirm receipt. Send broker and merchant funding confirmations.
• Keep the system of record current on every file: status, conditions, notes, and documents.
• Coordinate payoffs and balance letters on renewals and consolidations.
• Work with the product and engineering team to automate the repeatable parts of the workflow.
