Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Contractor to screen, assess, and treat students with communication needs. The role is a 1099 Independent Consultant with potential multi-state licensure and supervision of SLPA/CFY staff.

Requires a state SLP license and ASHA CCC. The ideal candidate will work independently from a professional home office, align with IEP goals, and coordinate with parents and educators to optimize student outcomes.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
Three (3) years of speech-language work experience in a public-school setting or equivalent.
Ability to work independently, with availability during typical school hours of at least 20 hours per week.
Professional home office setup without distraction during workday, typically 9 - 5 as defined by the school and time zone.
Knowledge regarding IDEA due process requirements.
Ability to conduct and interpret comprehensive speech-language evaluations.
Ability to provide speech-language therapy services.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to plan and deliver speech-language services to children.
Clear background check.
Speech-language pathology license issued by the state department of education or state board and ASHA SLP CCC.

Responsibilities

Screen and/or evaluate students with suspected speech-language impairments.
Provide case management of speech-only caseload.
Develop schedules with parents and teachers to encourage regular attendance and participation by the student.
Develop progress reports and other state-specific required documentation.
Use resources to ensure accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.
Monitor assigned SLP Assistant/SLP caseload and services.
Maintain compliance with state, school, and company regulations.
Instruct students/families/teachers in communication strategies and technologies.
Maintain files and records for reference and compliance.
Collect data and work samples to monitor IEP goals and objectives.
Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
Provide engaging therapy experiences and personalize learning for all students.
Demonstrate belief in student success and maintain positive rapport with families.
Support SST/RTI processes and participate in meetings and trainings.
Supervise up to 4 SLPA or CFY clinicians as needed.
