Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Contractor to screen, assess, and treat students with communication disorders under an Independent Consultant (1099) arrangement. The role supports IEP-directed services, potentially across multiple states, with supervision of SLPAs as needed.

The candidate must hold state SLP certification and ASHA CCC, maintain licensure, and work remotely with a flexible schedule while collaborating with school teams to maximize student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
• Three (3) years of speech/language work experience within a public‑school setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently, with availability during typical school hours of at least 20 hours per week is required.
• Knowledge regarding IDEA due process requirements
• Ability to conduct and interpret comprehensive speech-language evaluations
• Ability to provide speech-language therapy services
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and deliver speech-language services to children
• Receptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis with administrators
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
• Ability to create and deliver staff development
• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Certificates and Licenses: SLP license and ASHA CCC.

Responsibilities

• Screen and/or evaluate students with suspected speech-language impairments
• Provide case management of speech-only caseload
• Communicate with parents and teachers to develop a schedule for regular attendance and participation
• Develop progress reports and other required documentation
• Monitor SLP assistant caseloads and services
• Maintain compliance with state, school, and company regulations
• Instruct students/families/teachers in communication strategies and technologies
• Maintain records for reference and compliance
• Document all contact with parents and interventions with students
• Supervise up to 4 SLPAs or CFY-level clinicians (if needed)
