Job summary

Kemper is seeking a SIU Investigator to conduct field and desk investigations of insurance claims referred to the Special Investigative Unit, serving the Houston area from a home-based office. The role involves investigation, evidence development, and Examinations Under Oath, coordinating with state agencies and NICB.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of insurance claims investigation or law enforcement experience.
• Five years of professional investigation in economic or insurance matters.
• Knowledge of digital photo metadata and online investigative tools.
• Knowledge of casualty insurance and auto claims adjustment.
• Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend training to develop skills and meet regulatory requirements.
• Investigate files using field, computer and telephone methods and document actions thoroughly.
• Maintain a diary system on all assigned files to ensure timely recommendations.
• Prepare reports for state fraud bureaus and coordinate with agencies as required by law.
• Report findings and make timely recommendations to management.
• Develop and maintain contacts with other investigative units and related organizations.
