Remote Site Construction Project Engineer

Job summary

Target Hospitality is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of projects across our remote workforce accommodations and hospitality facilities. You will work with Project Managers, site superintendents, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

Responsibilities span pre-construction through closeout, including schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, quality control, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction project engineering / project management; preference for commercial/industrial/modular construction.
• Understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, cost management, and contract administration.
• Experience with submittals, RFI management, change orders, and subcontractor coordination.
• Proficiency with project management software (Oracle Unifier strongly preferred; Bluebeam, MS Project or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications, and permits; flag discrepancies.
• Coordinate with PMs, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to keep work on schedule.
• Track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; ensure timely approvals.
• Prepare and manage change order logs and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Maintain project documentation in Procore/Bluebeam or equivalent.
