Job summary

Target Hospitality Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate design activities across hospitality development projects.

You will work with senior leadership to align engineering, design, and budgeting goals while coordinating with project development and estimating teams. You will manage external consultants, review deliverables for quality, and support early-stage design concepts using CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD, construction drawings, site layouts, engineering documents, and consultant deliverables.
• Ability to coordinate multiple consultants and internal stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design activities in partnership with senior leadership and construction team.
• Collaborate with project development and estimating teams on design, scope, and budget support.
• Assist with project handoff to field teams by communicating engineering requirements and design intent clearly.
• Manage and coordinate outside consultants including architects, engineers, surveyors and other partners.
• Review consultant deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project goals.
• Support preliminary layouts, conceptual designs, and design reviews using CAD and related tools.
• Track engineering milestones, schedules, deliverables, and open action items for timely execution.
• Identify design conflicts, technical issues, and risks early and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Support pre-award planning and engineering input for proposals and budgets.
• Maintain clear project documentation and communicate status, risks, and decisions to leadership.
