CCMSI is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster in a remote-capable role for California. The position focuses on investigation, evaluation, administration, and resolution across client programs, ensuring compliance with CA WC laws and client handling instructions.

The ideal candidate will navigate active inventories, manage litigated files, and communicate confidently with workers, attorneys, employers, providers, and clients.

Qualifications

• California Workers' Compensation claims handling experience required.
• Self-Insured Administrator Certificate (SIP) required.
• Strong knowledge of California WC laws and regulations.
• Experience handling litigated WC claims.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and adjust California WC claims from assignment through resolution.
• Manage indemnity and medical exposures with effective claim strategies.
• Handle litigated claims and collaborate with defense counsel.
• Determine compensability and establish reserves.
• Coordinate medical treatment, return-to-work, and vocational considerations when applicable.
• Monitor claim activity, diary management, and timely file movement.
• Evaluate settlements and negotiate resolutions within authority.
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, providers, and clients.
• Maintain file documentation and reporting; participate in reviews.
