Job summary

Strategic Comp is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to investigate and adjust high-exposure workers' compensation claims, primarily from home with occasional travel within the Pacific Region.

The role requires a California WC adjustment license, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours; strong communication with insureds, claimants and defense attorneys is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in California workers' compensation claims adjusting with high exposure.
• Current California workers' compensation adjustment license is required.
• Ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours.
• Industry designation such as Associate in Claims is strongly considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse contacts.

Responsibilities

• Investigate losses and analyze coverage and compensability.
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements.
• Conduct meetings on the phone with insureds and claimants.
• Prepare large loss reports for internal and external audiences.
• Attend settlement conferences as assigned.
• Work closely with defense attorneys and other vendors.
