Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Solution Architect (SFMC) to lead the evolution of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities. You will own the marketing-side strategy and roadmap, translate business needs into scalable SFMC solutions, and raise platform knowledge across Marketing, IT, and Analytics.

This remote, individual-contributor role partners with Marketing Operations, Data, Digital, Analytics, RevOps, and IT to drive growth, better customer experiences, and faster

Qualifications

• Deep expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including automation, segmentation, personalization, audience management, data, journey orchestration, and campaign execution.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable marketing automation and SFMC solutions.
• Strong understanding of SFMC architecture, integrations, data, workflows, campaign operations, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Marketing's SFMC strategy and roadmap, aligning with Operations, Data, Analytics and IT.
• Raise SFMC knowledge across the organization with playbooks and standards.
• Provide primary SFMC solution architecture guidance for complex initiatives.
• Improve marketer productivity by evolving templates and reusable components.
• Identify AI opportunities and pilot capabilities to drive growth and efficiency.
• Partner with IT, Data, and RevOps on architecture, integration, and implementation decisions.
• Govern SFMC practices ensuring security, privacy, and governance.
