Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer to lead design, development, and integration of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. You will provide technical leadership to development teams and drive platform best practices across ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, HRSD.

Strong JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and MID Server expertise is required, along with hands-on delivery of REST/SOAP integrations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration.
• 2+ years leading ServiceNow development teams or projects.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, Service Portal, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
• Experience with ITSM, CMDB, and CSDM; at least two additional modules (ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, or SecOps).
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations.
• Strong Agile/Scrum and ITIL background.

Responsibilities

• Lead ServiceNow development activities, including design reviews and deployment planning.
• Design and develop ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, HRSD solutions across modules.
• Develop and optimize Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Architect and implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, SOAP, and MID Servers.
• Establish CMDB governance, Discovery schedules, and data reconciliation rules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support platform upgrades, release management, and ATF implementation.
• Provide mentorship to developers and support teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow standards and best practices.
