Job summary

Abstra is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain custom applications, integrations, and platform enhancements on the ServiceNow platform. You will work in an Agile team translating business requirements into scalable solutions and contribute to code reviews, while using both low-code and scripting approaches.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, multi-environment deployment, automated testing with ATF, and collaboration with admins, architects, and business analysts

Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs (GlideRecord/GlideSystem/GlideAjax).
• Experience with Studio and scoped app development.
• Experience with REST and SOAP integrations in ServiceNow.
• Understanding of data model, tables, dictionaries, relationships, inheritance.
• Proficiency with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Experience with Update Sets and multi-environment deployments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ATF for automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ServiceNow applications, custom tables, forms, and workflows.
• Build and maintain server-side scripts: business rules, script includes, scheduled jobs, fix scripts.
• Develop client-side scripts: client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, UI macros.
• Create and maintain integrations using REST APIs and SOAP web services.
• Build automated workflows with Flow Designer and legacy Workflow Editor.
• Develop Service Catalog items, variables, and catalog client scripts.
• Write and maintain reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics configurations.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain platform coding standards.
• Use Update Sets for source control and promote changes across environments.
• Collaborate with admins, architects, and business analysts on design.
• Write unit tests and use ATF for regression testing.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, script errors, and integration failures.
• Produce technical documentation.
