Job summary

Improvix Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Engineer to own and drive the CMDB, discovery, and service mapping for a federal program. The role is remote-first with occasional onsite in Washington, DC, and requires an active Top Secret clearance or willingness to be sponsored for TS.

You will lead discovery, mapping, data quality, and integrations to ensure the CMDB remains accurate and trusted for downstream ITOM and asset management processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on ServiceNow experience, including 2+ years on CMDB/Discovery/configuration management.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery — MID Servers, credentials, schedules, and patterns.
• Knowledge of CMDB structure: CI classes, relationships, identification and reconciliation rules, and data normalization.

Responsibilities

• Configure, run, and tune ServiceNow Discovery with MID Servers, schedules, credentials, probes, sensors, and patterns.
• Build and maintain application service maps reflecting CI relationships and service delivery.
• Troubleshoot discovery gaps, expand coverage across on-premises and cloud.
• Maintain CMDB class structure, relationships, and attributes for growth.
• Design integrations feeding the CMDB via IntegrationHub, Service Graph Connectors, REST/SOAP.
• Document models, configurations, integration designs, and data governance decisions.
