Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Remote Sensing Architecture Graduate Intern to apply MS&A tools to verify requirements and evaluate performance for space-based sensing architectures. You’ll work with mentors, staff, and fellow interns on multiple projects to expand your MS&A knowledge and contribute to national security space programs.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program in a related field, with strong Python/C++/MATLAB skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, physics, or related field, or BS with graduate enrollment.
• Willingness to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks and return to graduate studies after internship.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Familiarity with astrodynamics or space operations.
• Ability to interact with a diverse team across locations.
• Familiarity with Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge in national security space domains such as geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, space protection, and communications infrastructure.
• Provide analysis to support research, development, and acquisition decisions of space-based sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling using in-house tools.
• Collaborate with staff and mentors to translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations.
• Develop and present timely, technically-accurate presentations and reports communicating analysis results and recommendations.
• Aid in sustainment, development, and growth of the organization’s analysis and simulation capabilities.
