Job summary

RTX is seeking an Associate Director, HCM Core & Workday Security, a senior HR technology leader responsible for strategy, governance, and optimization of Workday HCM Core and Security. You will own the security model, ensure compliance, and drive data integrity across the platform.

You will collaborate with HR, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Audit, and Legal teams to align security with regulatory requirements, lead security policy design, and guide cross-functional changes in the Workday tenant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, including 10 years in Workday leadership within HCM or Security.
• Proven ownership of Workday security architecture and HCM foundational design.
• Experience working with cross-functional influence across HR/IT and governance teams.
• Deep understanding of HR operations, data governance, regulatory requirements, and enterprise security models.
• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership capabilities with demonstrated cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner in delivering the strategic direction for Workday HCM foundational structures and hire-to-retire processes.
• Design and enforce Workday security policies; develop governance model and security protocols.
• Oversee configuration and governance of core HCM processes and personal data; coordinate cross-tenant changes.
• Lead long-term planning, roadmap development, and prioritization for HCM Core & Security enhancements.
• Collaborate with HR, Global Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Audit, and Legal/Compliance to align security practices with policies.
• Own enterprise-wide Workday security model design including role strategy and least-privilege access.
• Lead relationships with HR, Enterprise Services, and Workday support partners.
• Approve security changes proposed by analysts to maintain integrity and compliance.
• Provide leadership for foundational data structures: supervisory orgs, positions, locations, and worker data.
• Improve processes via new Workday features, automation, and redesigned workflows for efficiency.
• Ensure controls and documentation exist for business processes and data access.
• Provide strategic leadership for biannual Workday releases across domains; manage end-to-end testing and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead and mentor the Workday functional team.
• Oversee workload prioritization, capacity management, and capability building.
• Serve as escalation for complex HCM and Security issues
