Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Senior Product Service Specialist for Water Heaters. This remote role requires residency in Central or Eastern Time zones.

You will serve as the primary technical resource for heat pump, gas, and electric water heaters, supporting installation, operation, and service inquiries across customers, distributors and partners. You will investigate field issues, guide engineering and quality teams, and contribute to product updates and service literature.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field service or technical product support experience.
• Experience with heat pump, gas, or electric water heaters.
• Ability to diagnose water heater issues and provide practical guidance.
• Ability to read and apply technical documents such as installation instructions and schematics.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical resource for customers, distributors, dealers, and service partners on installation, operation, troubleshooting and service questions for water heaters.
• Provide technical product support for application questions, startup/commissioning concerns, troubleshooting, and issue escalation.
• Support escalation resolution through technical guidance and coordination with internal teams.
• Participate in in-field investigations and partner with engineering and quality for root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Represent the service perspective in new product introductions and cross-functional discussions to improve serviceability.
• Author and maintain service bulletins, FAQs, and technical guidance for field use.
• Travel to support on-site or remote training and troubleshooting as needed.
