Job summary

GDH is seeking a Senior WAN Engineer to design, implement, operate, and continuously improve a global enterprise WAN. You will work hands-on with BGP, SD-WAN/SASE, internet-edge routing, and cloud interconnects to ensure reliability, security, and high performance across data centers, sites, and cloud environments.

The role requires extensive experience with carrier interconnections, throughput optimization, and robust network documentation.

Qualifications

• Active CCNP Enterprise, Service Provider, Data Center, or comparable professional-level networking certification.
• 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on WAN or service-provider connectivity.
• Strong production BGP experience with peering, route policies, prefix filtering, and failover behavior.
• Hands-on experience deploying SD-WAN technologies (Cato, VeloCloud, Viptela, Prisma, Fortinet).
• Experience activating and troubleshooting carrier circuits with telecom providers.
• Knowledge of cloud interconnects (Equinix Fabric, AWS Direct Connect).
• Experience with network documentation, incident management, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot eBGP/iBGP across internet-edge and carrier interconnect environments.
• Manage route policies, prefix filtering, BGP communities, peering, capacity changes, failover testing.
• Deploy and support enterprise SD-WAN/SASE environments and related security policies.
• Design and operate cloud connectivity with Equinix Fabric, AWS Direct Connect, and similar services.
• Coordinate carrier circuit activations, testing, cutovers, outages, and maintenance.
• Build and support LAN/WAN connectivity across sites, data centers, and OT environments.
• Maintain network monitoring, flow analytics, dashboards, and performance telemetry.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, runbooks, IP/BGP records, inventories.
• Execute production changes per change management and audits.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, telecoms, carriers, and network teams on design and incident resolution.
