Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks an OpenShift Virtualization Red Hat Specialist – Senior Consultant based in the United States. You will design, deploy, operate, and optimize an on-premises OpenShift Virtualization environment spanning virtualization, networking, storage, and platform services.

This role blends hands-on engineering with complex troubleshooting and lifecycle management across enterprise environments, leveraging MTV, GitOps, Helm, and OpenShift Operators.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of professional infrastructure/platform engineering or consulting.
• Deep hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization in bare-metal on-premises environments.
• Certification in OpenShift Virtualization is required.
• Strong DNS, NTP, networking, storage and bare-metal installation knowledge.
• Experience with Redfish, Virtual Media, Hybrid Cloud Console and installers.
• Familiarity with GitOps, Helm, OpenShift Operators, authentication and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support bare-metal on-prem OpenShift Virtualization environments.
• Manage OpenShift components such as DNS, NTP, networking, storage, and provisioning.
• Implement installation approaches including Hybrid Cloud Console, Agent-based Installer, and Assisted Installer.
• Maintain OpenShift Virtualization environments for VM and container workloads.
• Configure MTV for VM migration and modernization projects.
• Architect OpenShift networking and storage for virtualization workloads.
• Apply GitOps and Helm to platform operations; manage OpenShift Operators.
• Monitor health with logging, metrics, alerts; perform lifecycle management.
