Job summary

LMI is seeking a Senior VA Health Systems Integration & Interoperability Specialist to advance VA modernization efforts, ensuring reliable movement of clinical and Community Care data across VA workflows. The role requires deep VA/VHA experience, VistA expertise, and Oracle Health/Cerner exposure.

The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot integrations, define mappings, support migrations, and validate data for analytics, automation, and decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, health informatics, data engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years healthcare claims review and processing with EDI/X-12 formats, especially 270/271.
• 5+ years healthcare systems integration and interoperability work.
• 5+ years VA/VHA experience with VA workflows.
• Strong VA Community Care and IVC knowledge, including referral/authorization lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead VA health-system integration across VistA/CPRS, Oracle Health, IVC/VCC and related data flows.
• Map and troubleshoot end-to-end direct-care and Community Care workflows and data movements.
• Examine X-12 data to aggregate encounters and outcomes for analytics and metrics.
• Reconcile VistA/CPRS with Oracle Health workflows, including statuses and identifiers.
• Design source-to-target mappings and validation Criteria across VA and community exchanges.
• Evaluate integration approaches (HL7 v2, APIs, FHIR, EDI, files) for VA systems.
