Job summary

King's Insurance Staffing seeks a Senior Territory Underwriting Manager for a client in New Jersey. This fully remote role includes a company car and focuses on underwriting and pricing Commercial Casualty for the Excess & Surplus market across the NJ territory.

You will work with producers to solicit new business, manage renewals, and drive profitability while maintaining relationships and monitoring market trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting, preferably in the surplus lines/E&S market.
• Must have Production Underwriting and/or Territory Marketing experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; focus on building producer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for complex surplus lines commercial casualty policies.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to identify exposures and make underwriting decisions.
• Visit producers / wholesale brokers.
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, assisting in client retention and achieving mutual business growth.
• Achieve established production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive landscape to drive new business opportunities.

Our client is looking to add a Senior Territory Underwriting Manager to their New Jersey team. This person will be responsible for underwriting and pricing new and renewal Commercial Casualty business within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market. Working closely with producers, this role focuses on soliciting new business, managing renewals, and ensuring underwriting profitability across the New Jersey territory. This is a fully remote position with a company vehicle included!
