King's Insurance Staffing is seeking a Sr. Commercial Lines Field Production Underwriter for a fully remote role based in Michigan.

The role underwrites and prices new Commercial Casualty business within the E&S market, collaborates with producers, and drives profitability across the assigned regional territory. Responsibilities include assessing risk, pricing, and terms, visiting producers and wholesale brokers, building strong relationships, and aiming for production and loss ratio targets

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Commercial Casualty underwriting, preferably in the surplus lines/E&S market.
• Must have Production Underwriting and/or Territory Marketing experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building producer relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.

• Assess individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions for complex surplus lines commercial property and casualty policies.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to identify exposures and make well-informed underwriting decisions.
• Visit producers / wholesale brokers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, assisting in client retention and achieving mutual business growth.
• Achieve established production and loss ratio targets for the assigned regional territory.
• Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive landscape to drive new business opportunities.

Our client, an A+ rated insurance carrier, is continuing to expand their E&S footprint and seeking to add a Sr. Commercial Lines Field Production Underwriter to their Michigan team. This person will be responsible for underwriting and pricing new Commercial Casualty business within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market. Working closely with producers, this role focuses on soliciting new business, managing renewals, and ensuring underwriting profitability across an assigned regional territory. This is a fully remote position!

Salary/Benefits:

• $130,000 to $160,000+ annual base salary plus lucrative production bonus
