Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license in the state where the position is located.
• Typically 8+ years of civil litigation experience in property and casualty defense or subrogation.

Responsibilities

• Lead or part of a team handling trial work with minimal oversight.
• Advise on case strategy, manage complex litigation matters, and ensure client expectations are met.
• Utilize technology and collaborate with staff to optimize case management.
• Stay current on changes in law and procedure affecting liability and recovery litigation.
• Develop expertise across NTD concentrations and mentor junior attorneys and staff.
• Build professional relationships with claims partners and clients.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally to meet expectations.
• Demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination across cases.
• Contribute to the reputation and referrals within Nationwide Trial Division.
• Occasionally perform other duties as assigned.
