Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team. The role offers flexible work arrangements with remote options and offices across the Pacific region, including Reno, NV. You will lead high‑voltage overhead projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients to ensure successful delivery.

You will apply PLS-CADD expertise, oversee project schedules, participate in business development, and uphold WSP's QA/QC standards while advancing your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Excellent written and oral English communication; ability to work with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Lead and/or support initial project execution layout and scheduling.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and meetings; maintain project workflow.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget; prepare regular updates and forecasts.
• Mentor staff and contribute to department leadership and quality assurances.
