Job summary

Pencil is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead multi-team delivery of AI-enabled marketing platform features for Tier 1 clients. You will own roadmaps, coordinate with product, engineering, and client-facing teams, and ensure readiness gates and clear status for executives.

This remote role supports teams across Canada, the US and LATAM with overlapping hours with London; you will mentor junior TPMs, develop templates, and push AI-native workflows to reduce overhead.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in AI/ML, platform infrastructure, or developer tooling.
• Experience owning engineering delivery for enterprise or Tier 1 clients; realistic commitments.
• Genuine technical fluency: read system architectures; discuss APIs and integration design.
• Structured thinker who writes clean documents; turns ambiguity into a clear path.
• Experience mentoring other program managers and creating TPM templates and cadences.
• Proven ability to reduce overhead via new tools or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the program for Tier 1 client engineering requests including intake, scoping, prioritisation, sequencing and delivery tracking.
• Design and run the operating cadence for your area of the product and engineering org.
• Own workback plans and dependency maps for the programs in your portfolio.
• Manage cross-team programs, partnerships with client-facing teams, product managers and engineers.
• Provide escalation support and governance with timely, written status updates.
• Mentor junior TPMs and help scale TPM templates and processes across the function.
