Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Sr Principal Tool Engineer to provide technical leadership for molding and tooling for NPI in the Plastics Value Stream. You will work with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory to ensure components and contract manufacturers deliver high quality plastics on time.

The role includes developing 2–5 year tooling plans, reducing supply chain complexity, and collaborating with suppliers to advance processes and scale for next-generation plastics products.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops and implements tooling and equipment for production use, considering accessibility, economy, and performance requirements.
Interacts with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory) to ensure components and contract manufacturers meet quality and delivery needs.
Develops 2- to 5-year tooling plans and works with vendors to reduce supply chain complexity and improve processes.
