Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent four-year technical degree.
• 5–8 years of engineering experience, preferably in tooling, injection molding, or manufacturing.
• Strong experience in tooling leadership, reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving tooling-related production issues.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, mold refurbishment, repair, and replacement.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and detailed engineering drawing creation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the performance, reliability, availability, and lifecycle management of production tooling.
• Manage tooling spare parts and support troubleshooting and resolution of tooling-related production issues.
• Lead technical investigations and corrective actions to improve tooling reliability and manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain stable production operations.
• Mentor Tooling Engineers and Mold Makers, providing technical guidance and support to team members and leadership.
• Develop and maintain tooling documentation, standards, maintenance procedures, repair guidelines, and technical specifications.
• Support tooling repairs, refurbishment, component replacement, and mold restoration activities.
• Support validation, qualification, and production ramp-up of new and refurbished molds.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on tooling reliability, uptime, quality, and cost reduction.
• Monitor tooling lifecycle health, including wear tracking, maintenance requirements, refurbishment planning, and end-of-life decisions.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tooling Engineer to provide technical leadership for the performance, reliability, maintenance, and lifecycle management of production tooling. This role will support stable manufacturing operations, tooling repairs and refurbishment, new mold validation, continuous improvement, and tooling reliability within a regulated manufacturing environment.

The Senior Tooling Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Mold Makers, Tooling Engineers, commercial teams, and customers while providing technical guidance and mentoring to the tooling organization.
