Job summary

Lumen Technologies seeks a Senior Lead Threat Analyst to leverage broad visibility for hunting, investigating, and scaling discovery of evolving threats. You will deliver mission-relevant intelligence and support mitigations across large networks using AI-enabled research and automation.

You will collaborate with security researchers, data scientists, and clients to tackle advanced threats, leveraging Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Spark as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience in threat hunting and cyber threat intelligence.
• Proficient in Python scripting and data analysis.
• Strong Unix and SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with OSINT methods for investigation.
• Experience using distributed computing and big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Research latest threat attacker tools, techniques, and procedures to automate detection.
• Automate investigations through Python scripting and data analysis using visualization in Jupyter Notebooks and Grafana.
• Develop repeatable workflows that combine analyst expertise, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain trust with intelligence teams, law enforcement, and partners.
• Support customer RFIs on incidents and emerging threats.
• Use AI-enabled tools while validating outputs and maintaining analytical rigor.
