Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to drive quality engineering and test automation strategy for a modern cloud-based environment supporting a federal customer. This role will establish and lead automated testing from the ground up within an Azure-based architecture, guiding a dispersed team toward DevSecOps testing practices across Java Spring Boot services and Angular front-ends.

The Senior Test Engineer will oversee integration of manual and automated testing with security validation

Qualifications

5+ years of software testing and quality engineering experience, including test automation.
Must be a US citizen and US-based, with residency in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
Experience with Java Spring Boot and Angular.
Proven ability to design and implement automated testing frameworks.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and UAT coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of a modern test automation strategy across applications and services.
Establish scalable automated testing frameworks for UI, API, integration, regression and end-to-end tests.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers and developers.
Promote a quality engineering mindset within Agile/DevOps teams.
Oversee automated and manual testing, and security validation within CI/CD pipelines and Azure deployments.
Coordinate UAT activities and report testing progress and quality metrics.
