Job summary

VCU Telecommunications Services is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Analyst to deliver advanced operational and technical support for enterprise voice, UC, contact center, and related telecom services across VCU and VCU Health System.

The role entails leading technical analysis, coordinating with IT, clinical departments, vendors, and business stakeholders to implement scalable, resilient communications solutions. A flexible on-call schedule and on-site/remote engagements are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a consultative technical role implementing, upgrading, and supporting complex telecommunications applications.
• Experience administering enterprise voice environments including cloud-based platforms (SIP/VoIP) and contact center tech.
• Experience migrating from legacy on-prem voice platforms and supporting hybrid environments.
• Ability to lead technical analysis, solution design, and implementation for large-scale voice and CCaaS modernization.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications infra, protocols, and multi-location call routing.
• Proficiency with reporting, documentation, scheduling, coordination, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to respectful, professional conduct with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced operational, technical, and implementation support for enterprise telecommunications services.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for enterprise voice, UC, and contact center technologies.
• Evaluate communication needs and implement technology solutions across the enterprise.
• Support on-site meetings, customer engagements, system upgrades, and maintenance.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call schedule and flexible hours as needed.
