Job summary

GoFractional is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager for a Medicaid project with CMS. This 6-month contract role is fully remote and based in Arlington, VA, requiring near-immediate ramp-up and strong government collaboration.

You will translate policy into a clear product roadmap, work with data science and engineering, and manage a fast-moving backlog to deliver a vital government service on a tight timeline. Experience with CMS/Medicaid is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Product Owner on complex software/data projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirements-gathering with government stakeholders to define product vision.
• Translate policy goals and user needs into clear user stories, specs, and backlog for the technical team.
• Own roadmap reviews and prioritization for data science team, synthesizing results into actionable roadmap.
• Bridge between client and technical team to ensure shared understanding of problems; explain technical concepts as needed.
• Prioritize product backlog to focus on high-value features within the aggressive timeline.
• Champion user-centered design for a solution intuitive for federal staff.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and product demos to drive alignment.
• Contribute to risk register documenting decisions and tradeoffs on complexity and effort.
