Job summary

SpinPlay Games Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Animator to join the Art team. You will build and maintain Spine animation pipelines, rig characters, and optimize assets for production across mobile slots.

You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to translate game concepts into high-quality, performant animations, review technical standards, and improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience using Spine
• Minimum 6 years experience in 2D animation
• Strong rigging and animation workflows
• Experience optimizing animations for performance
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across disciplines
• Portfolio of 2D animation work required

Responsibilities

• Build, rig, and maintain high-quality Spine animation files for production.
• Create animator-ready files with clean skeletons, skins, constraints, and reusable setups.
• Optimize animations for performance while maintaining visual quality.
• Manage animation assets, project structure, and technical workflows throughout development.
• Coordinate technical handoffs between art and engineering teams.
• Review game design docs to understand feature requirements and anticipate technical considerations.
