Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a Sr Accounting Manager to lead technical accounting, reporting, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. The role is based in Palo Alto, CA or fully remote within the United States, with preference for CST time zones.

You will own complex technical memos, oversee monthly/quarterly/yearly close, and partner with auditors while driving process improvements. Requires CPA, 8+ years in public or corporate accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and hands-on SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
• 8+ years progressive accounting experience; public company experience preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and technical accounting research.
• Experience with SOX implementation, control design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Own and prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions (revenue recognition, leases, accruals, inventory).
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Support and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, with documentation and testing.
• Partner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverables.
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights.
• Drive process improvements and close efficiency initiatives.
• Support and optimize SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQuery systems; manage a team.
