Job summary

Consor Engineers seeks a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger, close processes, and drive scalable finance operations. You will mentor a small staff and partner with corporate reporting on audit readiness and technical accounting matters.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, process automation, and using tools like Deltek and BlackLine to improve efficiency. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public and/or corporate accounting, with AEC experience preferred.
• Strong general ledger management and month-end close expertise.
• Experience with external audits and internal controls compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity per GAAP and internal policies.
• Identify improvements to close timelines, workflows, and controls.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and address findings; support external reporting.
