This Virginia-based role supports cross‑agency outreach and research-driven strategies, with a focus on taxpayer education and program effectiveness, and offers telework eligibility where appropriate.

Qualifications

• A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Foreign education may be used to meet the requirements.
• Provide evidence that credentials are equivalent to U.S. education using NACES or AICE reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends and implements marketing plans, including targeted key messages, information dissemination methods, and optimum communication vehicles.
• Reviews and analyzes taxpayers' financial information to recommend alternatives for filing and payment of federal taxes.
• Reviews tax liability issues, identifies issues, evaluates actions, and collaborates to assess marketing program effectiveness.
• Coordinates marketing activities with Compliance, Electronic Tax Administration, and other functions to publicity IRS programs.
• Creates and disseminates news releases, newsletters and other promotions.
• Measures program effectiveness using data, surveys and focus groups to guide improvements.
