Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Sr. Systems Engineer to join a global leader in medical technology within the Pharmacy Automation Solutions division. The role focuses on developing system architecture and leading systems engineering across the product development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have experience bridging hardware, software, and systems engineering to bring products from concept to commercialization, with EST hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM discipline.
• Experience with electromechanical systems.
• Background in new product development (NPD), R&D, or product engineering environments.
• Experience defining or contributing to system architecture for complex products.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and product development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop system architecture for complex electromechanical medical technology products.
• Lead systems engineering efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Translate business, clinical, and technical requirements into robust system-level designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electrical, mechanical, quality, and product management.
• Drive requirements definition, system decomposition, and interface management activities.
• Support verification and validation planning to ensure system performance and regulatory compliance.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies during product development.
• Contribute to the advancement of innovative pharmacy automation solutions that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
