Job summary

Gulf Companies is seeking a Senior Survey Technician for remote work. The role involves QA/QC of field survey data, drafting deliverables, and coordinating with Project Managers.

You will prepare field packages, maps, and exhibits, and assist in mentoring junior technicians to meet Gulf standards. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a survey office, are proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble software, and understand land surveying nomenclature.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a survey office environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey work.
• Experience with Trimble software such as Trimble Business Center.
• Basic understanding of Land/Civil Survey nomenclature including projections, datums, coordinates.
• Fieldwork experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and communicate with the Project Manager on status.
• Review and verify survey data accuracy and notes.
• Prepare field packages (point files, DXF, KMZ) for field crews.
• Perform QA/QC on field data per Gulf standards.
• Draft and prepare maps, deeds, and easement sketches.
• Prepare ALTA, Easement, and Topographic exhibits for final review.
• Mentor lower-level survey technicians and ensure Gulf standards.
