Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a remote, travel-intensive role focused on identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost across a regional network of distribution centers. You will analyze data, design systems, and drive technology adoption to transform supply chain operations.

Responsibilities include collaboration with internal teams and consultants, developing models for cost-benefit analyses, and delivering on-site implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; 3–5 years in supply chain or warehouse ops.
• Experience designing distribution center layouts and optimization projects.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, automation, storage, racking, conveyors, inventory systems, and facility design.
• Experience with WMS; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD; maintain warehouse location data and layouts.
• Vendor management, permitting, scheduling, cost negotiations, and project coordination.
• Hazmat storage, high-pile storage, racking calculations, and permitting knowledge.
• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently on-site implementation.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost via data analysis and technology adoption.
• Support design and implementation of new supply chain systems across a regional network of distribution centers.
• Serve as a change agent to align internal and external partners to drive transformative initiatives.
• Quantify value of new technology and develop an adoption plan.
• Drive operational and continuous improvement across DC processes.
